Getting arms like Jodie Marsh…

Nine weeks and three days remaining…

Not that I am counting.

BB and the spica cast are coming along nicely, life is slowly returning to normal again, well as normal as life in our house can ever be.

We are even starting to realise the few benefits of having a toddler in cast. Firstly, in nine weeks time I will have arms to rival Jodie Marsh and Madonna. My back may have a permanent crook in it but its a small price to pay for Popeye style arms.

And of course it is an instant conversation starter so we are making lots of new friends. Comments such as “what’s wrong with her” and “wow did you break her leg?” are great ways to initiate life long friendships.

And finally the best benefit by far is the removal of sleep from our home. BB gave sleep up for lent and to be honest I don’t think we are ever going to have it again. Who knew how much more you can achieve in a day by ditching night night time….

Nine weeks and three days…

But whose counting!

It’ll fly by. Just stock up on the wine and get Baby Jake on repeat. x

What about getting your lips done in a Jodie style just to match?

Every cloud …! Only 9 weeks and 3 days till u sleep, and sleep, and sleep (hopefully 🙂 !). As the marshalls say on a marathon (and they always lie) “Nearly there”! Each day completed is one day nearer to getting the cast off and life really returning to normality. You are doing grand and are managing just brilliantly! X

I’ll be honest I would be a basket case by now, just with the lack of sleep. Isn’t grannie due to come for a visit?

My daughter had a cast on her leg once for about 8 weeks, when she five, to help lengthen her achilles tendon. It amazed me how it just became normal to her really quickly. Baths were a challenge though.

ha ha when I saw the headline, it was Bb I imagined with the jodie marsh arms and abs not you! Erin became so strong!I guess the toning up of the arms just slid down body and settled on my hips instead!

I also imagined your baby with the arms and I wasn’t counting either! 😉 You’ll be surprised at the end, though, at how quickly the cast sentence really did go by. Hang in there, Mama! Soon it’ll be a nothing but a sad memory.

Just be thankful it’s just your arms that will look like Jodie Marsh and not your face. Hopefully it will fly by for you Jodie xx

I spoke to a friend recently who had her DD in a spica cast about 8 years ago. She’s now a thriving 9 year old and has no memory of being in the cast at all. There was a time where one leg was growing a little quicker than the other, but she was well monitored and it evened out.
Soon this will be nothing but a memory and lal you’ll have is photos and those arms to remind you !
